We strongly recommend that everyone in the Joyce prepare themselves to shelter in place for up to 30 days following a disaster. To prepare, you should address food, water, first aid supplies, clothing and bedding, tools and emergency supplies, and special items, and keep the items that you would most likely need during an evacuation in an easy-to-find or easy-to-carry container, such as a large, covered trash container, a backpack or a duffle bag. You may want to consult the Internet for ideas along these lines. Click here for our 30 Days on Your Own: Full Presentation brochure, or the 30 Days on Your Own: Supplies Brochure, or click the YouTube video links elsewhere in this "Are You Ready" section for useful suggestions.
