Members of the JEPP group will be happy to answer questions, or direct you to someone who can assist if you want to participate on a local emergency response team or make a contribution to the JEPP initiative. JEPP tasks generally break down into the following categories: committee work (JEPP and the CCFD4 Auxiliary); the emergency cache (equipment, materials and supplies); planning and preparations for the Joyce Emergency Shelter; involvement with the Joyce CERT team; JEPP fundraising (bake sales, grant writing, etc.); water filtration and purification; mobile field kitchen and generator operations; a propane tank-strapping community campaign; and Ham radio and family radio communications, including Amateur Radio Emergency Training (ARES).
